We’d still recommend exercising caution, as Ubisoft is still investigating the incident.

Ubisoft, the studio behind the Mario + Rabbids series in association with Nintendo and the Rabbids series in general, has confirmed in a statement on their website that they were the subject of a cyber security attack last week. As a precaution, they’ve issued a password reset company-wide, and they go on further to state that no user data – including personal information – was compromised.

Last week, Ubisoft experienced a cyber security incident that caused temporary disruption to some of our games, systems, and services. Our IT teams are working with leading external experts to investigate the issue. As a precautionary measure we initiated a company-wide password reset. Also, we can confirm that all our games and services are functioning normally and that at this time there is no evidence any player personal information was accessed or exposed as a by-product of this incident.

As with anything in the cyberspace, we’d recommend changing your passwords anyway, even if there isn’t confirmation of the information being accessed.
