Nintendo just filed two smartphone-related trademarks for Metroid: Other M and Super Mario Galaxy

You could say that both are out of this world.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. occasionally files trademarks, but recently, they’ve covered all sorts of different bases. Including consoles, handhelds, and phones. This time Metroid: Other M and Super Mario Galaxy. These reference the following: ‘program for home video game machine’, downloadable video game program’, and ‘program for smartphone’.

What do you think this means? Could we see new things coming, or is this just a general run-of-the-mill procedure for Nintendo in this day and age?
