Super Smash Bros. Ulimate, the brand new entry into the popular fighting series from Nintendo, caused a whole new level of controversy on its’ launch day this past Friday.
A story came out regarding a student who was hyped for the launch of the long-awaited game. The student wrote
“Dec. 7th, Time to [Smash icon]” on a whiteboard within a school.
This was quickly mistaken as a threat to the safety of the people within the school, at which point some teachers and students who were unfamiliar with the Smash Bros. game series reported it to the school administration who contacted law enforcement.
The superintendent allegedly released a notice, which we have attached as an image above.
