Nintendo Announces 3DS and Wii U Image Share Services Will Be Discontinued in October

It truly is the end of an era, as Nintendo has announced that both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U Image Share services will end on October 25th, 2022. In their support document, they went further to explain what would and would not happen once the cutoff date comes.

As of October 25, 2022, it will no longer be possible to use the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U Image Share service to post images on Facebook and Twitter.

• After the service discontinuation, it will no longer be possible to share images from the Nintendo 3DS family of systems or Wii U consoles.
• Images and comments already posted on Facebook and Twitter will remain available even after the service discontinuation.
