“…we are thinking about providing an extension of the online service…”
Many have been upset about there only being NES games available for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers since the introduction of the service. However, Nintendo seems to be somewhat receptive to this feedback. Here’s what they had to say on the matter:
“At this place we cannot tell new information about future classic hardware among others, but we are thinking about providing an extension of the online service which is currently providing Famicom [NES] software, as well as other methods of providing them. We also recognise that there are opinions wanting to play past titles.”
Sounds like they’re looking into making it happen. I wouldn’t get your hopes up quite yet but keep your eyes peeled.
