A lot of video game franchises are beginning to receive Hollywood adaptations. Take Pokémon for example, that just received a movie in the form of Detective Pikachu.
Fun fact: Years ago, the beloved series Animal Crossing received a Japan-exclusive adaptation (which was fan-dubbed in English on YouTube, watch below) called Doubutsu no Mori.
One film adaptation that not many are excited or hyped for is the upcoming 2019 Sonic movie, releasing in US theaters November 2019. For those who don’t know, the ratings of Sonic games in recent years has gone down significantly with the most recent success being Sonic Mania (and its’ DLC pack, Sonic Mania Plus).
The most notable reaction was this one, from content creator A+Start, who spoke out to his fans on Twitter about the trending ‘Moment.’
This person is totally an “optimist” towards all of this.
And some have compared it to Detective Pikachu.
