Someone has gone ahead and made the fake ‘GameCube Portable’ real

Remember all those GameCube Portable rumors that have floated around various parts of the web for all these years? Well, Twitter user GingerOfOz (username @GingerOfMods) “got tired of it being fake” and made it real.

The display? 480p. The design? Done with the help of some graphics software and 3D printing. The performance? Flawless, thanks to backwards compatibility, according to GingerOfOz. Battery life? Not great, only lasts about 90 minutes.

And yes, the user did go ahead and post a video on YouTube about the project, too!

We, obviously, have to tell you not to try this at home without the proper experience. But we have to say: this is pretty cool!
