I believe to some extent that we all miss the Wii. Its beloved Wii Menu music will go down in history as one of the best of all time. Then, you’d select a game like Animal Crossing: City Folk and be met with a familiar tune… Of course, fast forward to the modern day, and Nintendo’s current generation console — the Switch — has nothing like that. Instead, the Switch’s software lacks that bit of personality, because it’s meant to be a quick gateway to your games.
But what if, and hear us out on this one, Switch Games had Wii Menu Animations? One fan took it upon themselves to create something like that, and the results are truly beautiful.
Now I want to listen to the Wii Menu music on loop for the next few days… the nostalgia!
