$10,000 Worth of Switch Games Stolen from Public Libraries; Suspect Arrested
Suspect is currently facing 12 felony charges
Some public libraries in the United States have video games in their collections for patrons to borrow.
Following a string of thefts from public libraries involving $10,000 (USD) worth of Nintendo Switch games, Marin County Sheriff's Department announced via Facebook that a suspect--Jamal Reed-Obafumi--has been arrested in connection to the burglaries.
The Sheriff's Department notes that Reed-Obafumi currently faces 12 felony charges "including multiple counts of burglary and committing a felony while out on bail." This news out of California follows reports that $1 million (USD) worth of Nintendo Switch 2 consoles were stolen in the state of Colorado.
