How we began:
Kakariko Herald originally began in June 2018 as a Tumblr blog which was operated solely by then-high school student Slade Watkins. Nowadays, it has transformed into a full scale operation with a website and upcoming YouTube channel. On 26th April, 2026, we incorporated as Rogueport Media LLC. Fun fact! The original name of Kakariko Herald was "Plinko" before Slade settled on a Zelda-themed name for the publication, which was selected for the Nintendo and Nintendo-adjacent target of the site.
