Gregg Mayles Leaves Rare After Over 35 Years with the Studio
An incredible chapter comes to a close
Gregg Mayles took to Twitter today to announce that this was his final day at Rare. Mayles first joined the company in 1989, designing projects such as Battletoads, Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2--as well as creating Banjo & Kazooie (alongside Steve Mayles), a series many know and love today.
Today was my last day at @RareLtd. Thanks to everyone who played and enjoyed any of the games I helped create while I was there. Also thanks to all the people that worked on the games alongside me. It seemed fitting that I should say farewell with one final rhyme! pic.twitter.com/X54u8Bc2oI

He leaves Rare behind with an incredible legacy, and one final rhyme in his Tweet as a farewell to his role at the studio. We wish Gregg all the best, whatever he does next!
