New Games Get Backwards Compatibility Patches on Nintendo Switch 2 (August 2nd, 2025)
Includes Disgaea 7: Hour of Darkness and DarkStar One: Nintendo Switch Edition
Nintendo have been regularly issuing backwards compatibility patches for original Nintendo Switch titles, improving their performance and overall play-ability on Nintendo Switch 2 in the process. This past week, a total of 5 games were patched:
- Cotton Reboot High Tension
- D.C.III: Da Capo III – Plus Story
- DarkStar One: Nintendo Switch Edition
- Disgaea 7: Hour of Darkness
- Vagante
To get these patches, simply check for updates as you normally would by selecting a game and pressing +/- on its HOME Menu icon, then scroll down to "Software Update."
